The prospect of going on an international trip is an exciting one. You get a break from your monotonous lives and a chance to learn new things. Travelling allows you to explore your surroundings and inner selves. It is an opportunity to get to know yourself and learn more about what excites you.

Also, you are on your own while travelling, so you learn to handle situations. Still, one must take certain precautions and be more careful before going on a trip for a good experience. So, to help you take the right steps before flying, we have enlisted some helpful tips. Follow them!

Airport tips to follow before dropping your luggage

  1. Click pictures of the parking spot:

If you are driving to the airport, it is best to click the pictures of the parking space where you are going to station your car. This will save you a lot of effort as you won't need to go through the trouble of wandering around the parking lot to locate your vehicle. Instead, just take a couple of pictures and save yourself some time and effort on the way back home.

  1. Connect to the free Wi-Fi:

Nowadays, most airports have free Wi-Fi. While in some cases, the free services are only for a short time, in other cases, you can connect to the free internet for an unlimited duration. Since it is highly unlikely you would know the Wi-Fi password of the airport if you are travelling for the first, ask around. The airport staff at IGI terminal 3 will be able to help you out.

  1. Put a sticker on your luggage:

Before you check in your luggage, it is advised to put on a sticker or wrap a ribbon around the bags. Then, in case some other flyer has the same bags, you won't need to open up your baggage and show the contents to others to prove the bags are yours. Since opening the luggage won't only be troublesome but could be embarrassing as well, differentiating your bags so you can identify them on the conveyer belt is recommended.

  1. Wear some extra clothes:

It is requested to adhere to the baggage limit at all times. Make sure you do not overpack and carry unnecessary items on the trip. Still, if you realize that you are slightly over the baggage limit after reaching the airport, wait and think a little before paying the ridiculously high extra baggage fee. To save money, you can always wear extra clothes or ask one of the airport shops for a bag. It is what you can call a last-resort tip.

So, these are a few airport tips flyers must adhere to. Following these tips before you check in could save you a lot of hassle during the journey.
